Others complain that they cannot exercise or participate in sports because of the weight and bulk of their breasts. In many cases, medical insurance will cover most of the cost of breast reduction. However, individual insurance plans vary, and most of them will require a referral from a primary care physician and a trial of "conservative" therapy, such as exercise or weight loss, before they will approve breast reduction.
