Liposuction is the method of removing unwanted fat from areas of the body, which are difficult or impossible to lose by diet and exercise. Some of the most frequent areas treated by liposuction and body contouring are the neck, back of the arms (mostly in women), pectoral areas (mostly in men), abdomen, "love handles", hips, thighs and buttocks. Wherever there are excess, unsightly pockets of fat, liposuction and body contouring may be used to sculpt a more shapely and agreeable appearance. Liposuction and body contouring are not weight reduction treatments, but, in fact, methods of reshaping areas of the body which have lost their natural, attractive appearance due to fat deposits.

Dr. Hopkins uses the Tumescent Technique when performing liposuction treatment.
