you with the best possible care. Dr. Hopkins takes tremendous
pride in his work and is a true perfectionist. What sets Dr.
Hopkins apart from other physicians is the amount of time
he spends with his patients. Always eager to answer questions
and alleviate any anxiety, Dr. Hopkins wants you to understand
the surgical process and procedure, what you can expect as
a result, and what recovery will be like.
Dr. Hopkins
was born and raised in Flanders, New Jersey, and earned his
undergraduate degree with high honors from Rutgers University
in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He completed his doctor of medicine
degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Piscataway,
New Jersey. He obtained his general surgery residency at the
prestigious Yale University Medical School in New Haven Connecticut.
Dr. Hopkins received his Plastic Surgery Residency at the
University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he also
completed a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship.
Dr. Hopkins
came to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1997 to join the Cosmetic
and Reconstructive practice at Lovelace Health Systems and
has received tremendous recognition and respect for his reconstructive
skills. He is currently the director of the Plastic Surgery
Center, P.C., a role assumed from the now retired Richard
A. Gooding, M.D. Dr. Hopkins resides in Albuquerque with his
wife and two children.
Dr. Hopkins
is Certified by the American
Board of Plastic Surgery, The
American Board of Surgery and he is a member of the American
Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Hopkins is a Lovelace
contracted provider and has privileges at Lovelace, Healthsouth
and St. Joseph's Hospitals.
